It is cultivated in very limited areas and in very limited quantity – in Anhui Province, Luan County, as well as in Ding Sai County and Ho Shan County. This is a rare tea. It is harvested at the beginning of the rainy season – April-early May. Second and occasionally the third leaves only are used. The shape of the fresh leaves is very similar to melon seeds – hence the name.
