Herbal Tea Blends — From Everyday Comfort to Something Unexpected

A small note before you browse: technically, none of what’s on this page is “tea.” Real tea comes from a single plant, Camellia sinensis. What you’ll find here are tisanes — infusions made from herbs, flowers, roots, and botanicals that have nothing to do with a tea bush. The preparation is the same. The cup looks the same. But the flavour world is completely different, and so are the reasons people reach for them.

This collection spans two quite different territories. On one side, you have functional blends designed around how you want to feel — Calm Day, Calm Sleep, I Feel Pure, Antioxidant Boost. On the other hand, a group of botanicals with roots in Russian and Siberian traditions that are hard to find anywhere else in the UAE: Ivan Chai, Taiga Blend, Altai Herbal, Flavors of Lake Baikal, and Monastery Mix.

A Few Worth Knowing

Ivan Chai is fermented fireweed — a plant that grows across Siberia and Northern Russia, traditionally dried and fermented in a way that gives it a surprisingly smooth, slightly earthy flavour. It’s been drunk across Russia for centuries, often as an alternative to black tea, and has been having something of a revival. If you’ve never tried it, it’s one of the more interesting things in the collection.

Taiga Blend and Altai Herbal draw from the plant life of Siberia’s forests and mountains — regions with long traditions of gathering wild herbs for both flavour and remedy. These blends tend to be aromatic, earthy, and complex in a way that commercial wellness teas rarely are.

Flavors of Lake Baikal and Monastery Mix are in a similar spirit: blends inspired by place and tradition rather than formulated around a wellness claim.

Then there are the more straightforward daily companions: Lemongrass Tea, clean and citrus-bright; Jasmine Blue, delicate and floral; Buckwheat Tea, mild and naturally sweet with a slightly nutty quality.

The functional range — Calm Day, Calm Sleep, I Feel Pure — is there for people who want something purposeful: a cup that fits a moment in the day rather than just a flavour preference.

How to Brew

Most of these blends do best with fully boiling water (95–100°C) and a steeping of 5–7 minutes. The exception is anything with delicate flowers — lemongrass and jasmine-based blends can be a little shorter, around 4–5 minutes, to keep the flavour bright rather than flat. Ivan Chai can handle a longer steep without going harsh, which makes it forgiving if you forget about it.

All are caffeine-free unless otherwise stated on the product page.

A Few Common Questions

Q. What’s the difference between this section and Single Herbs?

A. Single Herbs are individual botanicals — one ingredient, sold on its own, for people who blend their own infusions or want a specific plant. The blends on this page are ready to brew as-is, made from multiple ingredients combined for flavour or effect.

Q. Which would you recommend for evenings?

A. Calm Sleep is the obvious answer. Buckwheat Tea and Ivan Chai are also naturally calming without being specifically formulated as sleep teas — good if you want something warm and comforting rather than something that signals bedtime.

Q. Can I serve these cold?

A. Yes. Brew double-strength, let it cool, then pour over ice. Lemongrass Tea and Jasmine Blue work particularly well this way.
