Description
Chaban or tea board is one of the main items of traditional Chinese tea drinking. A tea board is necessary for the correct placement of tea utensils, as well as for the convenience of draining water, which is necessary for heating the cups and pots.
The board must have a tray and/or tube through which water will flow. Water flows through the countertop grates into a special plastic or wooden tray. Any tea master attaches special significance to chaban, which is necessary for a harmonious tea drinking ceremony. Various materials are used to make chaban: bamboo, wood, ceramics, rocks, porcelain and even plastic.
