Description
Famous tea from Anhui province of China. There are several forms of this green tea – it can be flat or needle-like, but the more common is tightly twisted oval grain shape – hence the name “snail”. The high quality of this tea is ensured, firstly, by a careful selection of impeccable, tender young flushes, and, secondly, by accurate, skillful processing at each stage, which requires considerable skill. The peculiarity of the “snail” technology, formed in the Ming era, is that this tea is heated twice and twisted twice thus better preserving aromatic and beneficial properties.
